Slide gates fail mechanically. Swing gates fail at the hinge, the post and the arm. Barrier arms and vertical pivot gates need the right operator for the traffic they see. We treat them differently because they break differently.

Usually a safety device or a limit setting, not the motor. Blocked or misaligned photo eyes, a stuck safety edge, a failed loop detector, or a close limit that drifted are the common culprits. It is often a same-visit repair.

Can I get power run to a gate that does not have any?

Yes. We trench and run power to gates, and we also install solar powered operators where utility power is far away or not practical. Which one makes sense depends on distance, shade and how many cycles a day the gate sees.

Is repair or replacement the better call on an old operator?
