Stay clear of a damaged or stuck gate
Keep people, pets and vehicles away from the gate's path and moving parts. Stop repeated attempts to run a gate that is grinding, leaning or jammed. Do not force it, lift it back onto a track, open electrical enclosures or bypass safety devices.
Manual-release procedures depend on the exact operator. Follow that model's manual, including its instructions for a stationary gate and power isolation. Do not assume a released gate is safe to move if its supports or rollers are damaged. If you are unsure, leave it alone and describe the problem when you call.

Can I move the gate by hand?
Only follow the manual-release instructions for your exact operator, and do not try to move an off-track, leaning or damaged gate. A release does not repair a mechanical problem. If you cannot confirm the correct procedure or the gate's condition, keep clear and call.
What if it stopped after a storm?
Tell us when it stopped and whether you noticed a power outage, impact or visible damage. Power, controls, safety devices and mechanical damage may need assessment. Do not open the operator or repeatedly reset and run a damaged gate.
